TikTok – ‘The Social Evil’

In this modern era every citizen is connected with each other through Social Media and in today’s time its almost a need to be part of Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. But the newly emerged App called ‘TikTok’ is attracting more youths towards its platform.

Youths mostly teenagers in Kashmir valley are getting much influenced and attracted towards this ‘TikTok’ App as they upload and share their videos on this platform. Although uploading and sharing our videos is not a crime but the manner in which our youngsters are uploading their videos on this ‘TikTok’ platform is not only against our morals but it is also inviting an evil to our society.

Our youngsters feel fun in uploading and sharing their ‘TikTok’ videos and people who are watching these videos are sharing them in large number as a result more youngsters are getting attracted towards this ‘TikTok’ platform.

Some of the ‘TikTok’ users say they saw their friends making videos and uploading them, they thought its fun to that and they followed the same but when their videos went viral they thought it was a mistake to upload such video and was not a right thing to do as it can ruin their life.

This “TikTok” app is not only destroying our young ones but has also brought evil into our society which is against our ethics and morals and due to this ‘TikTok’ addiction, our young ones are developing psychological problems which is alarming.

Teenage is a very sensitive stage of our life it is a stage where one gets easily influenced and attracted towards wrong way. Hence we need to guide them morally in best possible way to make them aware about good and bad so that they can easily understand and differentiate what is good and what is bad for them.

Our teenagers should not waste their precious time, energy and money in making such videos which will not bring any happiness or change in their life but will only destroy them internally. Rather our young ones should focus on their moral and school studies. They should consume their precious time, energy and money in their career building.

Our elders have a responsibility to guide our young ones that this is not a right thing to do and there are more side effects in doing such things and it will destroy your mental health. Further they should also teach our young ones how to use Social Media platforms in best manner for learning purposes and not for doing things which will only harm them later on.

Parents should also be more responsible towards their children particularly teenagers and they should spent more time with their children so that their children will remain friendly with them. As nowadays we are seeing a trend in our society that parents spent less time with their children as a result child gets easily influenced by spending more time on Social Media which makes him alienated with his family.
