Three Lecturers Suspended For Not Attending ‘Back To Village’ Programme

ADDC appointed as enquiry officer, asked to submit detailed report

Poonch, June 25: Administration on Tuesday suspended three officers of education department for remaining absent in the recently launched “Back to Village” programme in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

‘Back to Village’ is a unique initiative of the state government under which officers are visiting panchayats across the state. It began on 20 June and would last till 27 June.

“The three officers deployed in Back to village for 3rd phase were found absent from their duties today on24.06.2019 and as such are here by placed under suspension with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav.

Those who were suspended include Zulfkar Ali (I/C Lecturer), Mohd Ishaq (Lecturer Math) and Rajinder Kumar Sharma (I/C Lecturer).

Furthermore, ADDC Poonch is hereby appointed as an enquiry officer who will enquire the matter and submit a detail factual report at the earliest, the order reads, a copy of which lies with GNS.

Meanwhile, in another separate order the Deputy Commissioner Poonch has sought the explanation from two officers Nazakat Hussain (Lecturer Urdu working) against the post of Hindi and Shokit Ali (Head Master).

The two officers deployed in Back to village for 3rd phase are found late in attending their duties today on 24-06-2019, the order reads.

“They are directed to explain their position within 03 days positively failing which it shall be presumed that they have nothing to say in their defence and disciplinary action shall initiated against them,” the order added. (GNS)
