Three different theft cases solved, stolen items recovered by Jammu Police
Jammu: Three different theft cases solved by PS Gangyal, PS Satwari and PS Gandhinagar in their respective jurisdictions and stolen items were recovered from the possession of accused.
A complaint was lodged at PS Gangyal by one person namely Bansi Lal S/O Dhani Ram R/O Nagrota A/P Shiv Nagar,Jogi Mohalla Jammu, stating that on 29.05.22 some unknown persons entered his house and stole some gold ornaments and others items.
On this case FIR No. 62/2022 U/S 454/380/IPC got registered at PS Gangyal and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Gangyal Inspr Joginder Singh Chib did strenuous efforts and generated local intelligence, finally police team rounded up a suspect namely
1.Vivek Sharma S/O Kedar Nath R/O Nourgan Bishnah,
2.Atish Jangral S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Kotli Main Fateh Bishnah.
During further questioning the said accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure, stolen items i.e gold ornaments 06 tola and household items viz one washing machine, 01 LED, 01 inverter, 01 transform, 03 motor, 01 battery, 08 bags of rice worth Rs 05 lacs were recovered from their possession.
Similarly, on 28/7/2022 a written complaint was lodged by one person namely Atish S/O Hira Lal R/O Shastri Nagar stating that his scooter bearing Registration Number JK02D/6604 Vespa was stolen by someone from Satwari.
On the receipt of this information, case FIR No. 134/22 under section 379 IPC was registered at P/S Satwari and investigation started.
After this special teams of PS Satwari under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Satwari Inspr Sameer Jeelani did strenuous efforts and finally rounded up a suspect namely Vinay Verma S/O Prakash Chand R/O Shastri Nagar. During intensive questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen scooter was recovered from his possession.
Also, another complaint was lodged by one person namely Eshan Gupta S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Shastri Nagar, Jammu at PS Gandhinagar regarding theft of his Scooty bearing Regd. No. JKO2BT/7281 near Ram Darbar Mandir.
On this information a case FIR No. 186/2022 U/S 379 PC was registered at PS Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Gandhinagar Inspr Pankaj Sharma did strenuous efforts and finally after connecting various leads, rounded up a suspect namely Rohin Kumar S/o Jagir Lal R/o Dasor Tehsil R.S Pura Jammu. On search stolen scooty and one more bike bearing Chasis No. 29861 & Engine No. 42664 were recovered from his disclosure.
The overall operation was done under the supervision of SP South Mamta Sharma.
Further investigation of the cases is going on.
