Three day old militant arrested during CASO in Pulwama town

Pulwama: A newly recruited militant from Kakapora belt of Pulwama district was arrested by a joint team of security forces during Cordon and Search Operation from main town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

A top police officer told that on specific inputs, cordon and search operation was launched around district hospital Pulwama along with new colony Pulwama this evening.

“During search operation, one militant was arrested with ammunition including a pistol and grenade,” he said.

He identified him as Wilayat Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir resident of Hunipora Wanpora under police station Kakapora.

He further added that the said youth was missing from February 15 and his family members had already filed his missing report in the concerned police station. He added that further investigation in this regard is going on. (KNO)
