Road Rage incident: Journalist thrashed, accused arrested

Case registered, chargesheet likely to be filed tomorrow

Srinagar, Dec 15 : Senior Journalist Irfan Quraishi, working in a national TV channel, was assaulted by goons after road rage incident at Rajbagh area here while police has arrested five persons involved in the act and a chargesheet in this regard would likely be filed before the court on Friday.

Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that a senior journalist was attacked by some goons in a road rage incident at Rajbagh area on December 02, 2022.

The journalist later approached the concerned police station and filed a complaint there following which a case under FIR number 64/2022 was registered at Rajbagh Police Station.

A police official when contacted said that a case has already been registered while the accused persons have been arrested. “The chargesheet in the case would be filed tomorrow,” he said(KNO)
