Thousands of devotees assemble at Dargah Hazratbal to have glimpse of holy relic

Srinagar, Feb 28: Thousands throng Dargah Hazratbal here on Tuesday to have a glimpse of holy relic.
Around twenty thousand devotees also participated in long prayers at this revered shrine to observe Shab-e-Miraj.
“The night long prayers were at Dargah Hazratbal in which around twenty thousand devotees participated,” Peer Masood-ul-Haq, administrator of the shrine told ANN News.
He added that all arrangements had been put in place for devotees and there was no complaint from any side.
“The holy relic is being be displayed to devotee today and on Wednesday at this revered shrine,” he added.
A large number of believers also gathered at different Masjids to offer special prayers all night to seek the blessings of Allah Almighty.
Lailat-ul-Miraj, also known as Shab-e-Miraj, is a glorious night, marking the Isra and Miraj of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) when He (SAW) was taken from Makkah to Al-Haram-Al-Sharif, inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, also known as Baitul Muqaddas and was then taken to highest stages of the Heaven.
The night long prayers were held in various masjids and shrines across J&K where religious scholars delivered sermons highlighting teachings of Islam and various aspects of life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Special night long prayers were held at shrines in Srinagar including Asar-e-Sharif, Janab Sahib Soura; Asar-e-Sharif, Shehri Kalashpora; Ziarat-e-Makhdoom Sahib, Khanqah-e-Mualla and other shrines.
In south Kashmir, devotees offered night long prayers at Ziarat-e-Sharief Khiram, Kabamarg, Aishmuqam and other Masjids and shrines.
Traffic Police city has announced route plan for vehicles transporting devotees to Dargah Hazratbal.
