Srinagar Shocked as Thieves Make Off with 40 Milk Bags Valued at Rs. 2.75 Lakhs

Srinagar, Mar 15 : A gang of thieves targeted Ruby Associates in Magarmal Bagh, Srinagar on Sunday, making off with 40 bags of milk valued at approximately Rs. 2.75 lakhs. The incident occurred around 3 o’clock in the afternoon when the miscreants broke through the shop’s wall, expertly cutting through steel reinforcements to gain access to the valuable dairy products.

Owner Muzzafer Wani reported the theft to the Shergarhi Police Station, prompting an immediate investigation by Srinagar police. The case has been registered under FIR no.15/2024, and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

“We are devastated by this audacious act of theft,” lamented Wani. “The thieves not only breached our security measures but also caused significant financial losses to our business.”

Fortunately, CCTV footage captured the entire incident, clearly depicting the faces of the culprits. Wani urges the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the thieves. A photograph of the suspects has been released to aid in the investigation.
