Temple land allegedly occupied by encroachers at Mattan Anantnag, Authorities in deep slumber.
Anantnag: In a brazen violation of land grabbing, encroachers in Mattan Anantnag has allegedly occupied illegally Temple land here in Mattan area of South kashmir’s Anantnag District.
According to official sources the land belongs to the temple at Mattan Anantnag however some encroachers have allegedly occupied the land and constructed the commercial building in said land.
Sources said that an ex president of munciple committe Mattan has also allegedly violated the norms and constructed a commercial building in said land, the officer was posted in Mattan Munciple committe in year 2008 to 2010, during the time period of his posting at Mattan Anantnag the official has violated the norms and constructed the commercial building in temple land. Sources said.
Official sources said that the land is about to 42 kanals of land belongs to temple at Mattan Anantnag, however the authorities in deep slumber and didn’t bother to take any action against the voilaters.
Meanwhile, talking to Deputy commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla said that when the portel was established we have received at least seven hundred complaints of land grabbing in Anantnag District, among them we have solved and recovered about 300 land grab issues in Anantnag, we are working on this and I will personally look into the Mattan Land grab, Singla said. Singla assures action will be taken against the violators.
However talking to the Executive officer Mattan Anantnag Tariq Ahmad said that the the owners have some documents including the power of attorney, he said. Added that the trust has given them the power of attorney, there is about to 42 kanals of land in area which falls in the temple land, He said.
