Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, J&K Declared ‘Unlawful Association’ under UAPA

The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has been declared an ‘Unlawful Association’ under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The decision was taken after thorough investigations revealed the outfit’s involvement in forbidden activities with the intent to separate Jammu and Kashmir from India and establish Islamic rule.

TeH has been accused of spreading anti-India propaganda and actively engaging in terror activities to fuel secessionism in the region. The organization’s agenda, deemed detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of the nation, has prompted swift action under the zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Under the stern approach of PM @narendramodi Ji’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, any individual or organization found involved in anti-India activities will be thwarted forthwith. The government’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and unity remains steadfast, with this latest move reflecting its unwavering resolve to counter forces working against the interests of the country.

This declaration under UAPA provides law enforcement agencies with enhanced powers to take stringent actions against TeH, including the freezing of assets and restricting its activities. The government’s proactive stance sends a clear message that any attempt to disrupt peace and stability in the region will be met with resolute action.

Security forces are on high alert in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure the safety of the residents and maintain law and order. The move is expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and promote a peaceful environment in the region.
