Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Ashraf Sehrai hospitalized in Jammu
SRINAGAR: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai who is facing detention under Public safety Act (PSA) has been hospitalized after his health started deteriorating in jail.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com that the Hurriyat Chairman has been admitted at GMC in Jammu after his health started deteriorating at Kot Bhalwal jail, where is facing detention under Public Safety Act (PSA).
He said police have informed the family in the evening hours that Sehrai’s health has deteriorated in Jail and was accordingly admitted at GMC in Jammu.
Pertaintently, in July 2020 separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai was arrested from his residence in Srinagar by the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police and was lodged at Udhampur Jail.
Ashraf Sehrai was elected as the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, which was previously headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani. (KDC)
