Teachers Not Required To Attend Physical Classes, Shall Conduct ‘Online Classes’ From Home: Govt

SRINAGAR: The Government on Tuesday ordered that the teaching and non-teaching staff of all the educational institutions across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir should work from home.

As per the order, the teachers shall conduct ‘Online Classes’ for students from their homes as the staff was not required to be physically present in the institution.

The decision has been taken in view of sharp rise in Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases across Union Territory with Srinagar leading the tally.

However, the universities shall be permitted to seek in person attendance of minimal staff only for research/lab work.

Pertinently it is to mention that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed around 2000 Covid-19 cases continuously from last several days that force Government to close all educational institutions across Union Territory and start classes through Online Mode. (KIMS)
