Teachers Arrange Community Classes In Remote Areas Of Pulwama

PULWAMA: For the benefit of the students, authorities have decided to allow functioning of community classes in Jammu and Kaashmir.

In this connection, the administration has issued guidelines for these community classes, keeping in view the prevalent pandemic.

These community classes are being organized in places where there are difficulties in accessing internet facilities. In South Kashmir’s Pulwama community classes are being organized at Government High School Sangarwani and Government Upper Primary School (UPS) Aditrag from far flung Shadimarg Block.

The teachers of these schools have identified open spaces in nearby forest where they are conducting community classes in the interest of the students.

Tanveer Hussain Gorsi, a local student, told news agency Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that he was grateful to his teachers and administration. “They have explored the open space for us in the jungle and now are organizing community classes, where physical distance is also taken care of,” he said.

Headmaster, Government UPS Aditrag, Nazir Ahmed told KNT that it was impossible to maintain physical distance in schools while the government had also closed the schools.

Zia-ul-Haq, teacher at Government High School Sangarwani, said that community classes were the need of the hour as students in remote area neither possess smart phones nor avail the benefits of internet.

It is pertinent to mention that the teachers have already completed the T-1 syllabus and claim that they along with their students are ready for the upcoming exams. (KNT)
