In an exclusive interview with ANN News, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sayer Ahmad Reshi revealed that Syed Ali Shah Geelani was expelled from Jamaat-e-Islami for pursuing his own personal agenda. Reshi emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami has always been loyal to India, stating, “Jamaat-e-Islami is more Indian than others, and we are proud to be Indian.”

Reshi also addressed accusations against Jamaat-e-Islami regarding election boycotts, calling them “fake allegations.” He firmly stated that the organization never boycotted elections and is actively participating in the political process. “We are fighting elections, and we will work for the public,” he added.
Reshi further distanced Jamaat-e-Islami from Geelani, claiming that Geelani had his own agenda and that the party did not support his stance. The leader expressed confidence in Jamaat-e-Islami’s continued commitment to serving the people through democratic means.
