Successful Meeting of Medical Employees Federation Held with J&K Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister
Srinagar, October 23 : A crucial meeting between the Medical Employees Federation of Government Medical College (GMC) and Associated Hospitals, Srinagar, and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Surinder Kumar Choudhary, along with the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ms. Sakeena Itoo, took place today. The meeting was attended by key representatives of the federation, including President Mr. Shabir Ahmed Langoo, Vice President Mr. Adil Mustafa Bhat, and General Secretary Mr. Shah Nawaz Ahmed Reshi, who is also the Vice President of the Radiological Association, GMC Srinagar.
During the discussions, several pressing issues were highlighted, such as the recent imposition of odd duty shifts and the long-pending concerns of contractual employees under SRO 384. Matters concerning the Hospital Development Fund (HDF) employees and the Additional Auxiliary Benefit (AAB) were also raised, with particular emphasis on salary delays.
Both the Deputy Chief Minister and the Health Minister assured the federation of swift action, prioritizing the resolution of these issues. They also expressed their commitment to visiting GMC Srinagar in person to further engage with the employees and address any additional concerns.
This meeting marks a significant step towards addressing the grievances of medical employees in Jammu and Kashmir, as the government pledges proactive measures to improve working conditions and ensure fair treatment for all staff.
