Stranded Kashmir University Students Demand Airlifting
Srinagar: The students of Kashmir University (KU) stranded on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Sunday morning demanded airlifting by the state administration.
Around 30 students of electronics department of the KU are stranded on the highway from past many days along with their faculty members.
“We were on one-month training programme to Chandigarh but on our return we got stranded on the highway. We appeal to the governor administration to make special arrangements for our airlifting,” the students said.
Dr Shabir A Parah, training incharge of KU students appealed to the Governor adminstration to arrange DACOTA services to airlift the stranded students as has been used during earlier dispensations during such emergency situations.
