Staff, Security Instructed to Allow People with Grievances to Meet Me Directly: RPO Srinagar

 

Srinagar, Dec 16: Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Srinagar, Davinder Kumar, has instructed staff and security to allow individuals with grievances to meet him directly for swift resolution.

 

RPO Kumar emphasized his commitment to addressing public issues efficiently. “I have instructed staff and security to allow people with issues or grievances to meet me directly,” he said.

 

The Srinagar Passport Office has been witnessing a daily footfall of nearly 500 applicants, reflecting improved efficiency in the passport application process across Kashmir and Ladakh. Kumar highlighted recent advancements that have reduced appointment delays, with applicants now receiving next-day appointments.

 

He further explained that applications are processed promptly, with formalities completed on the same day and forwarded for verification. “In cases where verifications and documentation are clear, passports are issued within 15 days,” Kumar added.

 

The focus on streamlining services and addressing grievances aims to enhance transparency and provide an applicant-friendly experience at the Srinagar Passport Office
