SSRB Exams: Classwork remains suspended in few educational institutions in Baramulla
Baramulla: Classwork in several private as well as government schools remained suspended on Monday in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district due to SSRB examinations even as the schools across Jammu and Kashmir reopened after Covid-19 lockdown was imposed last year.
An official told that government has designated several government and private educational institutions as examination centers for class IV posts.
Pertinently, as per the government orders, the schools reopened for classwork today after a year of closure due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chief education officer Baramulla Ghulam Mohammad told that suspension of classwork in few institutions is for one day due to the JKSSB exams.
He said from tomorrow onwards classwork will resume in these institution.
An official of education department said that students school for class 9th to 12th reopened today amid Covid-19 protocols in parts of Kashmir.
He said strict COVID-19 SOPs have been put in place by the authorities for the safety of students in all the institutions.
Pertinently, Covid-19 pandemic enforced a country-wide lockdown in March 2020 bringing life to a standstill. (KNO)
