Srinagar woman dies of coronavirus in Dubai

Srinagar: A 34-year-old Kashmiri woman died due to Covid-19 at a hospital in Dubai on Friday afternoon, leaving behind three minor daughters.

“She was diagnosed Corona positive on March 31. We are devastated by this news and urge everyone back home in Kashmir to pray for the departed soul,” Junaid Bashir Lone, a cousin of the deceased, told Greater Kashmir from Dubai.

The deceased hailed from Nawab Bazar area of downtown Srinagar.

She has left behind a family of four, including husband and three daughters, aged one, two and six years.

The deceased was the daughter of late Farooq Lone, a former producer at Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC), University of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased in Srinagar have urged people to pray for the departed soul at their homes and avoid visiting the residence in view of the prevailing situation due to Covid-19.
