Srinagar-Jammu National Highway reopens after two days; other roads remain closed
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — After remaining closed for two consecutive days due to snow accumulation, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was reopened for vehicular movement on Sunday.
Officials said the highway has been partially restored, and efforts are underway to clear stranded vehicles between the Navyug Tunnel and Nashri Tunnel.
However, Mughal Road, SSG Road and Sinthan–Kishtwar Road continue to remain closed for traffic due to snow accumulation.
The officials have advised commuters to check the latest road status through the official social media handles of the J&K Traffic Police or contact the Traffic Control Units (TCUs) at Jammu, Srinagar and Ramban before undertaking their journey. — (KIMS)
