Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Budgam are on track to make electoral history, with an anticipated voter turnout of around 64%, going for polls on Wednesday.
The enthusiasm is evident as large rallies, public gatherings, and door-to-door campaigns sweep through these districts, signaling the people’s eagerness to cast their votes on polling day.
What makes this surge in voter participation particularly noteworthy is the positive mood among the public.
People are not only excited to vote but also feel a strong sense of security, which has boosted their confidence in the election process.
A significant share of the credit for this peaceful atmosphere goes to the security forces, especially the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Their diligent efforts in maintaining law and order have reassured the people, creating a safe environment for voting. Local residents have expressed their gratitude, stating that the presence of security forces has made them feel secure, enabling them to actively participate in the democratic process.
“People are happy to vote this time. The security forces, particularly the J&K Police, have played a key role in making us feel safe,” said a resident from Ganderbal.
As the polling day approaches, the anticipation continues to build, and the region seems poised for a historic voter turnout that reflects not only a desire for political change but also a renewed sense of security and trust in the system.
