Srinagar encounter: LeT militant killed
Pulwama, Jun 12 : LeT militant was killed in a gunbattle with security forces in Srinagar district on Sunday, police said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an encounter broke out between security forces and militants at Kreshbal Palpora area of Srinagar on Sunday evening in which LeT militant Adil Parray was killed.
He said that a joint of team of Security forces launched a Cordon-and-Search operation in the area, after receiving inputs about the presence of militants.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the security forces, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Confirming the news, IGP Kashmir in a tweet said “LeT #terrorist Adil Parray of #Ganderbal who was involved in #killing of 02 JKP personnel Gh Hassan Dar in Sangam & Saifulla Qadri in Anchar Soura and injuring a 9 year old girl, killed in a chance #encounter with a small team of Police”—(KNO)
