Sports Promote Health, Team Spirit, and Positive Youth Engagement : DGP RR Swain

Srinagar, July 31: Director General of Police J&K RR Swain stressed the vital role of sports in engaging the youth and commended private entrepreneurs for their contributions to sports development.
Addressing reporters, Swain pointed out the beneficial effects of sports on physical health and teamwork.
“Sports involve healthy competition and foster team spirit. It also provides physical exercise for positive youth engagement, there’s nothing better,” DGP said.
He commended the J&K Police for their ongoing support of sports, stating. “The J&K Police has a strong tradition of promoting sports. It’s essential to encourage such activities among the youth, and we are committed to supporting every opportunity.”
Swain also expressed his admiration for the participation of private entities and the Gurudwara committee in supporting national hockey.
“I appreciate their involvement. Hockey is our national game, and the support from private parties and the Gurudwara committee reflects a commendable spirit of private entrepreneurship in sports,” he added,
