Sopore Shuts On 2nd Consecutive Day Against Militant Killing
Sopore: Normal life was crippled after a complete shutdown was being observed in North Kashmir’s Sopore town on Saturday on 2nd consecutive day against the killing of a militant.
A slain militant namely Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Model Town Sopore affiliated with ISJK militant group was killed in a brief encounter with government forces at Amshipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday morning.
All shops, business establishments, etc remained shut in Sopore town on Saturday and traffic movement was not visible on roads.
Meanwhile, authorities suspended classwork in all Government Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges in Sopore town on Saturday as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order problem.
