Sopore Police Acts Tough Against Covid-19 SOP Violators, Five Shopkeepers Arrested

Sopore, 27 April: Police on Tuesday launched a massive drive against COVID-19 SOP violators in north Kashmir’s Sopore township and imposed a fine of Rs 8000 on violators, besides seized three vehicles.
A joint team of Police officials led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sopore inspected the micro-containment zones wherein shops were seen open.
Acting accordingly, five shopkeepers were arrested and a fine of Rs 8000 was imposed on the violators, besides three vehicles were also seized.
Official said, five shopkeepers were arrested who were running their daily routine business despite being in micro-containment zones.
He also added, that three vehicles were also seized besides a fine of Rs 8000 was imposed on the violators.
Meanwhile Sopore Police appealed the people to follow the SOPs and other health related advisories for the safety of their own health and of others.
