Socio-Political activist Dr. Rizwan Rumi expressed grief over killing of Advocate Babar Qadri and BDC Chairman

Srinagar: Dr. Rizwan Rumi, a socio-political activist has expressed grief and shock over killing of two including one prominent figure in last two days in Kashmir valley.

Rizwan while expressing his deepest disapprobation and grief over the killing of Advocate Babar Qadri and BDC Chairman Khag Bhupinder Singh said, “such killings give us unfortunate inklings of how some off-beam deviant minds descend too low and create impediments in the path of overall progress of our people.”

“My heart goes out to the families of the victims and I pray for their immense forbearance and restraint and peace to their hearts in these devastating times”, he added.

It is to mention that, a (BDC) Block Development Chairperson of block Khag Bhupinder Singh was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Dalwash in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Today evening a prominent lawyer Babar Qadri was also shot dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Hawal area of Srinagar city.

Babar Qadri was not only a prominent Advocate but also a debater and writer. He was a regular on TV news channel panels and was invited as an expert on Kashmir affairs by several national channels
