Social Media Exploited to Disrupt Peace in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, July 13: Terrorists seem to make coordinated efforts from across the border to exploit social media platforms to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

 

 

Several social media posts by terrorists or their sympathizers are used to spread misinformation and provocative content to question the integrity and sovereignty of India, aiming to destabilize the Jammu and Kashmir.

 

 

 

 

Earlier, authorities have directed banned several social media accounts which were found disseminating divisive narratives designed to incite violence and unrest among the local populace.

“The authorities are actively monitoring and countering these malicious activities to safeguard the stability of Jammu and Kashmir,” said an official.

Authorities have urged neitizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious online content to the authorities.
