Social Activist Dr Rizwan Roomi requests Govt to bring back stranded students, labourers to valley

Srinagar: Dr. Rizwan Roomi, a Social Activist from Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has requested the Union Territory Administration to bring back stranded students and labourers from different states of the country to Kashmir valley.

He requested the government to provide transport facilities for the students, studying in various parts of the country, and also the labourers working in different states of the country, to reach their homes back in the Kashmir valley safely.

Rizwan said, “As per Government regulations, those travelling interstate and coming from abroad, had to undergo Coronavirus thermal screening at the airports and were to be quarantined in different parts of the country, in centres set up for this purpose. Once the 14 days quarantine period is over, they are allowed to go home.”

As the world faces severe pandemic crisis, many necessary preventive measures have been put forth by all the governments to contain the outbreak in their countries.

India, too decided to go for a 21-days lockdown, making it more difficult for those stuck in different parts of the country to reach their homes.

As the coronavirus outbreak has hit most of the states in India, it is necessary for government to provide safety to every citizen and send students and labourers back to their homes safely.

Dr. Rizwan made an appeal to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide necessary directions to the concerned authorities to help them in bringing back stranded students and labourers.
