Shawwal Moon not sighted in J&K, Eid-ul-Fitr on May 3

Srinagar, May 1: Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadhan, announced J&K J&K’s Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam.

J&K’s Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam told ANN News that Shawwal moon was not sighted anywhere in J&K, thus, making the current holy month this year of 30 days.
He added that not a single testimony was received from any districts about the sighting of Shawwal moon.
