Senior KAS officer dies of COVID-19 in Jammu

Srinagar, May 08: A senior KAS officer, who was presently posted as Special Secretary Finance department in Jammu and Kashmir, died of COVID-19 at GMC Hospital in Jammu on Saturday.

Family members confirmed to News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the 54-year-officer officer, Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani, a resident of Ahmadnagar Srinagar died of COVID-19 on Saturday at Govt Medical College Hospital in Jammu.

They said that the officer was admitted at GMC hospital following he tested positive for the deadly virus.

An Official told KDC that the body will be handed over to family after conduct of necessary formalities. (KDC)
