Senior J&K Bureaucrat Arrested For ‘Fudging’ Birth Record

Srinagar: The Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a senior bureaucrat for fudging his date of birth records.

IGP Crime Branch Afhad-ul-Mujataba confirmed that they have arrested MD Khan, administrative secretary of ARI & Trainings department, for changing his date of birth.

Khan was earlier administrative secretary of consumer affairs and public distribution department and Agriculture Production department.

This is the first time in recent years when a senior bureaucrat of administrative secretary level has been arrested by the police. (GK)
