Selected SI’s of JK Police seek intervention of higher ups for issuance of their formal appointment orders
Srinagar, Apr 21: Selected Sub-Inspectors of Jammu and Kashmir police Sunday said that they are again being ignored to join the department despite the courts direction to make the immediate arrangements for their joining process.
“Our joining process has been put in limbo because of no reasons. It is pertinent to mention that the selection process and all requirements related to joining had been completed before the model code of conduct. Then, why Chief Election officer and other stakeholders are not giving a positive nod for our timely joining to the department? If Patwaris have been allowed to join their respective department vide letter no. Rev/NG/15/2011-iii, dated 10-4-2019 and approved on 16-4-2019. Why can’t we?,” they said in a statement issued to KNS.
They said that consequently all these things compel them to move from pillar to post to invoke the authorities to issue their formal appointment letters, but unfortunately nothing conclusive happens quick in our state, J&K.
“It is ironical to state that we have became aggrieved rather than selected candidates. We are yet to cherish the fruits of our unmatched and unparalleled hard work and efforts that we put in for achieving this post,” they added.
Selected Sub-Inspectors of JK police said that their precious time is being wasted without any reason.
“Previously matter was sub-judice, as a result, we have lost five crucial months otherwise half of our training would have been finished. Now, it is obligatory to mention that court has vacated all the impediments which were hindering our joining process (under Date of order 9th of April, 2019, SWP 3019/2018, 185/2019.)”
They requested Governor Satya Pal Malik, Principal Secretary Home and DGP to intervene into the matter to make our joining possible before Darbar Move otherwise joining process may get further hampered unduly which certainly will add more desperation, frustration and mental trauma of the selectees.
