Seizing bikes, shutting down internet has nothing to do with Amit Shah’s visit: IGP Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 21: The Inspector general of police on Thursday said that seizing of bikes and shutting down of internet of some towers has nothing to do with the visit of the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that these measures have been taken purely due to the militant violence over the past few days in the Kashmir valley.
The IGP said that it has nothing to do with the visit of Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir police quoting IGP Kashmir on its official Twitter handle said: “Seizing some bikes and shutting down of internet of some towers is purely related to #terror #violences. It has nothing to do with visit of the Hon’ble HM.” (KNS)
