Sehat scheme will prove game changer for Health sector of J&K: Choudhary Yaseen
Srinagar, Feb 18: Saying that Sehat Scheme is a potential game changer in health sector of J&K, Chief Executive Officer State Health Agency (SHA) Choudhary Yaseen Thursday asked the private health care providers to make the Sehat Scheme succesful.
Yaseen said this while Speaking in a
workshop organised for registered private hospitals of Kashmir region for the empanelment under AB-PMJAY-SEHAT for smooth implementation of Sehat Scheme.
The scheme in convergence with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) provides Health Insurance Cover of Rs.5lakh/family/year to all the residents of UT of Jammu and Kashmir including serving and retired employees.
SHA CEO Choudhary Yaseen held detailed deliberations about the empanelment of private health care providers and urged the participant hospital administrators to come forward and join this scheme.
He assured the participants that SHA, J&K shall provide all possible assistance/facilitation during and after the empanelment to change the health sector map of J&K for betterment of people.
The participants from private non-empaneled hospitals appreciated the positive and pro active approach of CEO SHA and assured cooperation with the Government to make the people friendly scheme successful.
More than 30 non-empaneled private health-care providers participated in the workshop.
Government of Jammu and Kashmir recently launched SEHAT Scheme which will cover around 15lakh households, not covered under AB-PMJAY. The same benefits as existing under AB-PMJAY shall be extended to the rest of the residents. (KNO)
