Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed In Parts Of Kupwara: DC

Kupwara: The administration today ordered the closure of all Schools and colleges in parts of Kupwara district on Saturday (Tomorrow).

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jehangir told GNS said that the class work to remain suspended in all schools and colleges of Kupwara except in Machil, Tanghdar and Keran areas.

The DC, however, said that the class work to remain suspended only in higher secondary schools and Colleges in Handwara.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid law and order situation in the Valley, he said.

On Wedenesday evening, a 20-year-old youth Khalid Gafar (20) son of Abdul Gafar Malik was killed after being hit by a bullet allegedly in army firing at Trehgam Kupwara. (GNS)
