School Students Organized Rally Against Drug Abuse in Anantnag

ANANTNAG (KIMS) — On the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, students from the Scholars Scientific Institute in the Mominabad area of Anantnag district organized a rally on Wednesday to protest against drug abuse.

The rally started at the school in Mominabad and concluded at the bypass in the Ashajipora area of the district.

Students carried banners with slogans such as “Stop Drug Abuse, Stop Illicit Trafficking” and “Say No to Drugs.” They also chanted slogans like “Drug Users Are Real Life Losers” and “Be Smart, Don’t Start” during the rally.

The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed annually on June 26 since 1989, is a United Nations International Day aimed at combating drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. — (KIMS)
