Sandeep Mawa Arrested at Srinagar Airport by City Police
Srinagar, Sept 04: Social activist Sandeep Mawa, a Kashmiri Pandit, was arrested today at Srinagar International Airport while he was scheduled to board an IndiGo flight to Delhi.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com, that Mawa, who was to travel on IndiGo flight 6E2197 departing at 1655 hrs, was detained inside the Security Hold Area by a team of Police Station Saddar Srinagar and the Humhama, with assistance from CISF personnel deployed at the airport.
Following the arrest, sources confirmed that FIR No. 58/2025 is registered at Police Station Saddar Srinagar under Sections 309(4), 308, 318(4), and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).–(KDC)
