SAC Clears Pay Proposal For SSA Teachers

Srinagar: The State Administrative Council Friday cleared a proposal to implement 7th pay recommendations for teachers recruited under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme.

A source told that SAC which met in Jammu this afternoon cleared a proposal to de-link salary of SSA teachers from the central assistance.

“The SAC created supernumerary posts of teachers for SSA recruits to pave way for linking their salary with the state budget,” he said.

He said the SAC also cleared a proposal relating to ombudsman in local bodies. “The SAC deferred its decision on juvenile justice bill,” he said.

An official in the state government said the SAC decisions would be communicated to media Saturday.
