Rogi Kalyan Samiti Committee Convenes Key Meeting in Magam

 

Magam, October 31, 2024: The Rogi Kalyan Samiti Committee meeting was held today at Sub District Hospital, Magam, under the chairmanship of MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmad. Esteemed guests, including Dr. Mohd Ayoub, Chief Medical Officer, Budgam, senior citizens, and members of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, attended the meeting.

 

 

 

Block Medical Officer Magam Dr.Mir Mushtaq presented a detailed overview of the medical block’s functioning and highlighted key concerns to the dignitaries. The meeting focused on infrastructure development, including the construction of a separate casualty block and renovation of patient and staff washrooms, equipment upgradation such as the installation of a fully automatic analyzer and hormone analyzer, manpower enhancement including the creation of posts for radiologists, orthopedicians, and ophthalmologists, and addressing local health concerns to improve patient care services.

 

 

 

 

 

Additionally, the Block Medical Officer briefed MLA Dr. Shafi Ahmad on the urgent needs of the hospital, including the acquisition of a new digital X-ray machine, anesthesia workstation, modern OT tablets, and sterilization equipment. The issue of the hospital’s non-functional hotline was also discussed.

 

 

 

 

Senior citizens of the area, led by Shri Mohd Ibrahim Mir, participated in the meeting, expressing appreciation for the hospital’s functioning while also demanding the upgradation of the hospital from Community Health Center (CHC) to a full-fledged Sub District Hospital.

Dr. Mohd Shafi, MLA, emphasized, “We are committed to providing quality healthcare services to the community. The RKS Committee plays a vital role in identifying and addressing local health needs.” Dr. Shafi Ahmad added, “I appreciate the efforts of the RKS Committee in improving healthcare infrastructure and services.”

 

 

 

 

The RKS Committee meeting marked a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services in Magam. The committee’s recommendations and decisions will be implemented to ensure better healthcare outcomes for the community.
