Riyaz Naikoo’s close associate killed in Ganderbal
Srinagar: A close associate of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant commander Riyaz Naikoo was on Tuesday evening killed in Nunar area in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to reports, militants on Tuesday evening attacked a BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) worker’s residential house in Nunar area in Ganderbal district in which one security guard namely Altaf Hussain was killed.
In retaliation, one local militant was also killed. He has been identified as Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Jangalnard area in Awantipora Pulwama.
Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh said, at times Shabir was an OGW then he recently turned into active militancy & after that he was shifted for target hitting by Hibz outfit.
