Revolutionizing Public Feedback for Transparent Policing

Srinagar, April 12, 2025

In a groundbreaking move to enhance transparency, accountability, and community trust, Srinagar Police has launched BHAROSA QR — an innovative QR Code-based Feedback Management System designed to gather real-time public input on police services and performance.

This user-friendly system allows citizens to effortlessly scan QR codes placed at police stations, offices, and key public locations such as bus stops, marketplaces, and institutions. The QR code redirects users to a secure platform where they can quickly share experiences, concerns, and suggestions about police responsiveness and behavior, ensuring a seamless and inclusive feedback process.

To complement this initiative, Srinagar Police has also introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline at 8899112888, enabling citizens to share feedback via text, voice, photos, or videos. Designed to protect anonymity, the system fosters open communication and encourages diverse community participation.

A specialized Feedback Management Cell at the SSP Srinagar office will monitor submissions, ensuring prompt resolution of grievances and recognizing exemplary police conduct. The initiative, spearheaded by young IPS Officer Vaibhav Meena, SDPO Nehru Park, reflects a modern approach to community-oriented policing in Srinagar.

BHAROSA QR is the latest in Srinagar Police’s efforts to build trust and deepen engagement, alongside initiatives like dedicated helplines for verification and drug-related activity reporting.

Citizens are urged to embrace this platform to strengthen collaboration with law enforcement and contribute to a safer, more accountable Srinagar.
