Repair, blacktopping work on Mughal Road takes off
POONCH JUNE 28: On the directions of DDC Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad, the authorities have initiated the repair work on Mughal road from Buffliaz- Chhatta Paani stretch.
Worthwhile to mention here that the road stretch was damaged due to heavy rains, landslides and snow during winters.
The concerned department provided for Grade-3 WBM to fill the damaged patches from plus-0 km upto 33km, even as 50 mm WBM of 194.00 cubic metre and 25mm thick Premix Carpet in 38850 square metre is proposed to cover the approximate distance of 10-11km.
The DDC Poonch directed the concerned department to complete the repair work in minimum possible time and restore the historic road connecting Pirpanjal to Kashmir valley and being used by hundreds of tourists. He also directed Executive Engineer Mughal Road to start work on the stretches ready for blacktopping without delay.
The work was taken up on the directions of Poonch Administration as the issue was raised by various deputations and flagged in outreach programmes of the DDC in Surankote, Haveli and Mendhar respectively.
