Rang-e-Chinar 2.0: Where Roots and Rhythms Came Alive
Srinagar : The colours of culture once again painted the campus of NIT Srinagar with vibrance and energy as
Rang-e-Chinar 2.0, the biggest cultural fest of Jammu and Kashmir, unfolded on the 25th and 26th of
October. Organized by the Students’ Gymkhana, the two-day extravaganza celebrated creativity,
expression, and togetherness under this year’s theme — “Roots and Rhythms.”
Proudly sponsored by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the festival witnessed an overwhelming
participation of students who brought their talents and passion to life through a wide array of
events. From the spine-chilling Haunted House and expressive Wall Painting, to Rap Workshops,
Flashmobs, Stand-up Comedy, Singing, Dancing, Sketching, Photography, and a buzzing Game Zone
— every corner of the campus was alive with energy and excitement. Adding to the experience were
delicious food stalls, creative crochet workshops, and thrilling competitions, ensuring there was
something for everyone.
As the sun went down, the stage lit up with electrifying Pro Shows featuring mesmerizing
performances by sensational artists Waqar Khan, Mohamin Mir, and Asif Faiz Mir — who set the vibe
and had the crowd swaying to their beats late into the evening.
The event’s success was further amplified by the support of our media partners — ANN News and
Rising Kashmir, who helped capture and share the spirit of Rang-e-Chinar 2.0 with a wider audience.
With an incredible blend of tradition, talent, and togetherness, Rang-e-Chinar 2.0 once again proved
to be more than just a festival — it was a celebration of identity, art, and community.
At NIT Srinagar, every colour truly spoke, every story came alive, and the roots and rhythms of our
culture took centre stage.
