Railway cop escapes unscathed in militant attack in south Kashmir’s Awantipora
Srinagar, Dec 4: A railway policeman escaped unscathed after being fired upon by militants on Saturday evening in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.
Quoting the sources, news agency GNS reported that while the policeman escaped unhurt, police and security forces cordoned off Dogripora village of the Awantipora nearby amid reports that militants went inside the village.
A police officer told GNS that the railway policeman is “safe”.
“After attack militants went inside Dogripora village. The village has been cordoned off and searched are underway,” the officer added.
