Pulwama Police Promote Drug-Free Society Through Awareness Programmes
Pulwama, Dec 18: In furtherance of its ongoing efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse, Pulwama Police on Wednesday organised drug awareness programmes at Abbu Hanifa School in Rajpora and at the Sumo Stand in Lassipora.
During the programmes, officers from Pulwama Police held interactive sessions with students, youth and members of the public, sensitising them about the harmful physical, psychological and social impacts of drug abuse. They also emphasised the long-term consequences of substance abuse and the importance of making informed and healthy life choices.
The awareness programmes witnessed active participation, with attendees encouraged to stay away from drugs and act as ambassadors of a drug-free society within their communities. Parents, teachers and community members were urged to remain vigilant and guide the younger generation towards positive and constructive activities.
Pulwama Police reiterated its commitment to continue such preventive and awareness initiatives and appealed to the public to extend full cooperation in building a safe, healthy and drug-free society.
