Pulwama Police Organises One-Day Workshop on Sexual Exploitation, Drug Addiction

Pulwama, Nov 22: In an effort to enhance awareness and professional preparedness, Pulwama Police today organised a one-day capacity building workshop on Sexual Exploitation and Addiction at District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama. The training aimed to equip officers with greater sensitivity and effective response mechanisms while dealing with cases of sexual offences and substance abuse.

Resource persons highlighted psychological aspects, legal provisions, early identification, victim support and rehabilitation. Officers were briefed about the rising trend of drug addiction, behavioural indicators, and the importance of coordinated preventive action. Personnel from different units of Pulwama Police participated in the workshop and engaged in interactive learning sessions.

Pulwama Police said it will continue holding such programmes to strengthen professional skills, promote community protection and ensure an effective response to challenges related to sexual exploitation and drug abuse in the district.
