Pulwama Police Nab Drug Peddler at Newa; Charas Powder-Like Substance Seized
Pulwama, Jan 14: As part of its ongoing enforcement against narcotic offences, Pulwama Police apprehended a drug peddler during naka checking at Newa.
A police team from Police Post Newa intercepted and apprehended Samir Ahmad Wagay, son of Bashir Ahmad Wagay, resident of Wahibug. During personal search, 70.5 grams of charas powder-like substance was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, FIR No. 06/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama. Further investigation is underway.
