Pulwama Police Conduct Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse at Lassipora

Pulwama, Jan 15: Pulwama Police today organised an awareness programme on drug abuse at Lassipora, as part of its ongoing campaign against drug menace.

The programme aimed to educate the participants, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse on health, family, and society. Speakers from Pulwama Police highlighted the legal consequences of drug-related offences and stressed the importance of staying away from narcotics. Emphasis was also laid on early identification of drug addiction and the role of community cooperation in eradicating this social evil.

The participants were encouraged to act as ambassadors of a drug-free society and to share information with police regarding drug peddling and abuse in their areas. Pulwama Police reiterated its commitment to continue such awareness initiatives and to work closely with the public to make the district drug-free.
