Pulwama Police Bust Illegal Mining Operation; Two Dumpers, Tractor Seized

Pulwama, Dec 19: In a continued crackdown on illegal mining, Pulwama Police have intensified night patrols across identified vulnerable areas of the district.

During the intervening night of December 18 and 19, a police team from Police Station Litter, while conducting targeted checks at Udipora, intercepted and seized two dumpers and a tractor involved in illegal mining activities.

In this connection, an FIR No. 111/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the PPD Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and further investigation is underway.

Pulwama Police reiterated their commitment to protecting natural resources and urged the public to remain vigilant, requesting citizens to report any information related to illegal extraction or transportation of minerals to the nearest police station.
