Pulwama Police Appeals for Wide Publicity of National Narcotics Helpline MANAS–1933
Pulwama, Feb 26: As part of the ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and strengthen community participation in the fight against narcotics, Pulwama Police has appealed to the general public to give wide publicity to the National Narcotics Helpline MANAS–1933, launched by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
The 24×7 toll-free helpline 1933 (integrated with the earlier helpline 14446) provides a secure and confidential platform for citizens to report information related to drug trafficking and to seek assistance regarding de-addiction, rehabilitation and counselling services. The identity of the informer is kept strictly confidential.
Pulwama Police has urged members of civil society, educational institutions, market associations, transporters, youth groups and media organisations to actively disseminate information about Helpline 1933 so that maximum awareness is generated at the grassroots level.
Reiterating its commitment to a drug-free society, Pulwama Police has called upon all stakeholders to cooperate and contribute towards the collective vision of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat by 2047” by promoting and utilising the National Narcotics Helpline 1933.
