Pulwama gunfight ends with killing of two militants

Pulwama: Two militants were killed in a gunfight between government forces and militants at Dadoora Kangan village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday afternoon.

The affiliation and identification of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, government forces including Army’s 55 RR, J&K Police and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in the area following the specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Meanwhile, mobile internet services have been snapped down in Pulwama district as a precautionary measure.

Earlier in the day, two militants were also killed in an encounter between government forces and militants at Chinigam Kala Drang village in Kulgam district in South Kashmir.
